Anselmo Aieta was one of the most famous bandoneon
players and also the one who had the longest career in playing at the
downtown cabarets. He was the composer of very famous tangos, and formed
many groups which were always orientated towards very simple musical
schemes. Some of the musicians who were involved in some of the sextets
Aieta directed are: Juan D’Arienzo, Luis Visca, Juan Cruz Mateo, Juan
Polito, Alfredo Mazzeo, José Domínguez (Salghe), Eugenio Romano, Juan
Navarro, Mauro Seavone, Jorge A. Fernández, Alfredo Gobbi, Gabriel
Clausi, Alfredo Calabró, Oscar Ventura and Alfredo Corleto.
