| Composer
and pianist Francisco Lomuto, who began his career by 1914, was
one of the directors of the Lomuto-Quesada orchestra. He
followed a traditional line, always taking care of the shades of
the group to which he gave an unmistakable character and a
slightly accelerated rhythm that was appropriate for dancing.
The bright musicians he had in the orchestra gave Francisco
Lomuto’s orchestra its own personality, at its best
professional time.
