Juan Bautista Deambroggio, also called “Bachicha”, was born in Buenos Aires in 1890. He started his career playing at cafés near his house, and ended up playing with Roberto Firpo and Roberto Goyeneche. He also directed the Apolo Theatre orchestra.  He and Ernesto Bianco created and directed their orchestra, Bianco-Bachicha, in Paris. Amongst all the songs he wrote, the most well known and important is “Bandoneón arrabalero” with lyrics by Pascual Contursi.
